Eastern Meadowlarks
/Eastern Meadowlark - I have only photographed one of these before. I was super lucky, on our roadtrip to the Northern Neck to come across a field with about small flock of them flying back and forth. They were very skittish and flew anytime the saw a movement, including cars so I was able to only grab a few shots and then they were at the other end of the field completely out of my reach.

Ruby-Crowned Kinglet - a first on the bluff
/I have photographed a Ruby-crowned Kinglet before but never in my own yard. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see one when I was sitting on the front porch but there it was flittering around. It landed just across from me, providing this great opportunity for a shot in our Willow Tree.
Bonus - The Willow Tree is starting to show buds, I hadn’t noticed. Spring is starting to appear!
